Boehner Takes Tax Increases Off the Table

House Speaker John Boehner is preparing to put out a statement telling Obama that tax increases are "unacceptable and a nonstarter." My favorite part of this article is this:

"But he says a proposal by the president that includes tax increases will be treated as evidence that the president is not serious about dealing with the country’s long-term fiscal health. "

This has to be a joke. The President is the one who is not serious about deficit reduction, but the GOP is unwilling to even consider ANY tax increase.
