Potomac Fever is the blog of the Hamilton College Semester in Washington Program.
Silly, silly. When I read this, "If you love Medicaid, you’ll adore the new version of Medicare," I thought- wow, a smart national review writer. And then I read this, "If you love Medicaid, you’ll adore the new IPAB version of Medicare," and realized he was talking about IPAB.Uhm... no. Medicaid's largest problem is its low provider reimbursement rates. The government inadequately funds the program for the rising costs of health care. What's Ryan's approach to Medicare? Inadequately fund the program for the rising costs of health care, likely exposing more and more seniors to the types of problems we have with the current Medicaid program. Once again, conservatives pushing a solution to a problem... that's really just more of the problem itself.
