Americans (Except Registered Dems) Don't Want Congress to Raise Debt Ceiling

Does this seal the deal for Americans being uninformed about economic policy? The debt limit debate is looking to be far more dramatic and potentially far more dangerous than the last CR debate. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has already outlined a plan that would prevent GOP senators from filibustering, therefore forcing all 51 Dems to vote for a raise. This would put the 17 Dems who are up for election in 2012 in a predicament, where the necessity of raising the debt limit would battle the possibility of GOP attack ads targeting their debt limit vote. Good to see Mitch McConnell, again, using the Senate's rules for the good of the country. He truly is a great American/ turtle creature.

Shocking. How can Americans be so irresponsible?

Yeah, I knew that would be you or Megan's response TJE. I think it's dumb that Obama did that when he was in the Senate, but that was at a time when he could do that and it didn't really affect anything. I still think it's stupid, but I think if he was the needed vote to get over the 60 vote threshold, he would've voted for it.
