The president who saved football

On this day, Superbowl Sunday, we should all take a moment to thank Theodore Roosevelt for his crucial contribution to the game of football.  I was surprised to learn that good old TR was a huge advocate of the game at a time when people were scheming to abolish it.  Politics and football: two great American institutions that we can all appreciate.  Check out the CNN article for more.
