Not a pleasant topic for debate, I know, but-for you legal buffs out there-former UVA lacrosse player George Huguely, 23, is due in court today for a preliminary hearing on murder charges in the May 3rd death of one-time girlfriend and fellow student, Yeardley Love, 22. Huguely's attorneys have indicated they will most likely not seek a plea which will make this one of the most prolific murder cases related to college students in a while.

George Huguely attended The Landon School in Maryland. It was in the same conference as my high school, and has been plagued with scandals in the past 10 years including this, an SAT cheating scandal, and a number of scandals having to do with womanizing. Everyone at my school has always thought a lot of the guys who go there are douche bags.
