Alcohol vs. Marijuana Myths & Facts
Some of these might be a little bit questionable, but most of them cite pretty legitimate sources. One of the facts from a Rand Corporation study of the California proposal to legalize marijuana states that in California, fewer than 200 patients were admitted to hospitals for "marijuana abuse or dependence." I wonder what's included in the 300,000 number used during tonight's debate.

Don't smoke and drive:

TJE, how does that study pinpoint exactly when these drivers were smoking? Marijuana stays in people's blood for atleast 2 weeks, so I think it would be hard to prove that these smokers were high when they got into these accidents. You could argue that potheads are worse drivers overall, but I don't think this study is conclusive in providing a direct correlation between people being high and getting into car accidents. We will have to wait for DUI technology for marijuana before we can prove or disprove that.
You mean potheads are bad drivers, whether or not they are high?
Not necessarily bad, but worse than average. But this study has no way of showing that these people were high when they got into these fatal accidents.
Don't bogart that joint my friend.
