Doesn't surprise me at all. This is the first I've heard about it (clamped up in a meeting for the last hour), but my friends were asking me over the weekend when he would and I said by Monday if he was smart. A little late, but if he had lost Pennsylvania again (remember he got DE-MOLISHED a few years back by Bob Casey), his career would have been over. I thought he'd have done it before his daughter was released from the hospital. It would have been good timing and a legitimate (although probably not 100% true) excuse. It was actually nice of Mitt to pull the attack ads over the hopsital stay. He gained a point or to on my "Mitt Romney: Human or Robot?" scale.

Needless to say, I am very happy about this. Not that I was ever convinced that Santorum would win the nomination, but I can breathe much easier knowing that we won't have to deal with his fiery social rhetoric any longer. Romney, or even Newt or Ron Paul, doesn't evoke the same sort of visceral reaction in me that Santorum did. Now we can turn our heads to the main event, folks; this is the exciting part. Buckle up and let the war of the deep wallets commence.
