Nancy Pelosi wishes the poor 'earned more so they can pay more'...

http://nation.foxnews.com/nancy-pelosi/2012/04/20/pelosi-income-tax-i-wish-they-would-earn-more-so-they-can-pay-more

Apparently, Nancy Pelosi does not want lower income families to earn higher wages to better support their families or for upward mobility.. She hopes for higher earnings so that they can contribute to her government funded projects as she sees fit..

Nice choice of words Nancy!

Granted her choice of words wasn't the best, I think they're being taken out of context. Let's be real here: who wants to make so little money in life that they are expected to make the bare minimum contribution to society? Who wants to earn so little that they can't provide the necessities for their families? In my opinion, no one wants that for themselves. Pelosi was merely trying to defend those being assaulted for allegedly "having no skin in the game" because they don't pay income taxes. Sadly, not everyone can be so fortunate to help pay for government -- some people have bigger problems, like putting food on the table and/or providing shelter for their families.

Summary: Careless quote by Pelosi, but nothing to read into here.

Nick, I agree.

Brandon, I'm not sure whether your commentary on Pelosi's choice of words was sarcastic or not, but I think it's safe to say this was a harmless misspeak by Pelosi. If sarcasm was not intended, you could have a career at Fox News, seeing as you've one-upped even them, despite your previous diatribe about word-twisting...http://potomafever.blogspot.com/2012/04/twisted-words-again.html
