House votes to de-fund NPR
No surprise here. I wonder if it has a chance of passing in the Senate. Why do we need to fund a radio station when we are in trillions of dollars worth of debt?
I'm pretty divided on the subject, but I think your putting a false choice out there. I was trying to find a dollars number but all I could come up with is that 2% of NPR's revenue comes from the federal government. Whether NPR needs that funding or not, the funding is definitely not a driving force or even more than like .01% of our debt.

Change we can believe in.

Still, might as well cut it. If it's so popular and useful it will be able to compete.
