Is Romney the Republican version of John Kerry?

Unfortunately, I think it's going to be difficult for Obama to position himself as the dependable, tough leader. He has had some foreign policy successes thus far, but he hasn't been able to capitalize on the momentum generated from the death of bin Laden or the death of Muammar Qaddafi. In fact, has Obama even issued a statement on Qaddafi's death? Also, Romney is a far cry from the milquetoast Kerry. He may be a flip flopper on social issues, but he seems tougher than Kerry...he's also turned out some excellent campaign videos. I think Obama will have to try a different tactic, such as soaring rhetoric. That's always been his strength. (I'm gonna be honest, that last part is tinged with sarcasm.)

Ok so I'll quickly react to Qathatfi:

So Obama issued a statement, in fact, he spoke but it was very brief. The problem with the Qathafi death is that unlike Saddam, he was not given a fair trial. He was just arbitrarily murdered by the rebels thanks to the NATO air strikes. So it is a slap in the face of America and all that it stands for. So until a proper investigation is done and the mystery behind Qathafi's death is unraveled, I am afraid there is nothing much Obama can say. By that time also, the momentum would have vanished.
