U.S. Military Assistance being used by Saudi Arabia to put down protestors in Bahrain

U.S. military assistance to Saudi Arabia being put to use as our staunch ally sends 200 vehicles carrying 1,000 troops into Bahrain. Our pro-democracy stance in the Middle East stops with the Royal Kingdoms. Latest State Dep. data states U.S. contributed almost $700 million in military assistance in FY 2007 (Link), not to mention an upcoming $60 billion arms package to the country, the largest in U.S. history (half of which are helicopters and planes... not exactly being used for 'defense' in Libya) . U.S. ambassador explains here that this deal is NOT in jeopardy given current democratic uprisings.
