Styrofoam War
It took them long enough to come up with an article, but finally the budget cuts are making a real impact.

The silverware did kind of suck, but the compostable plates, cups, and other containers were much better than the styrofoam stuff. The styrofoam is really scratchy and makes all sorts of noise, not to mention the fact that putting hot food in styrofoam is not good for general health. Also, it's not recyclable in a lot of places including DC (I believe). Even people in my office prefer the compostable containers. I wish everything didn't have to be so retardedly partisan, and that the GOP could show just a little love for the environment.
Tackling the big issues.
Yeah, this development along with the House GOP's emergency meeting to cut funding for NPR really shows how committed the party is to solving our nations most pressing problems.
In other news, "The House Judiciary Committee will consider a resolution Thursday to reaffirm “In God We Trust” as the national motto.
Rep. Randy Forbes (R-Va.) sponsored the resolution, which also encourages displaying the phrase in public buildings, schools, and other government institutions."

and yes, we could sit around all day pointing out each side's respective lame activities (i.e. Obama's March Madness picks for instance).
Preemptive Yawn
I think I would have passed on the televised presidential brackets this year. With catastrophe in Japan, the crushing of rebels in Libya, and the government lurching toward shut down, seems a tad inappropriate. Just saying.
