Seems like the whole public workers vs. private workers debate is a smoke screen to draw everyone's attention away from this. Looks like wages rose until about when the first round of Bush tax cuts were passed. Adverse effects of tax policy anyone?
Just kidding, I know that they didn't go into effect until 2006, but I don't think they helped solve this problem.
