E-Smoking banned on Planes
I am 100 percent for this ban. Because there are alternatives for nicotine users, like gum and patches, I do not think they should have the right to "pretend" to smoke on planes just because the E-cigarette is advertised to be safer than "normal" cigarettes. If I were flying and the person next to me was using one of these devices I would be severely alarmed. My first reaction, which is probably the same as the other passengers on board, would be unpleasant for the people around me. It may have something to do with the fact that there are signs everywhere saying NO SMOKING on board, IT IS ILLEGAL! While the E-Cigarette doesn't release smoke like a real cigarette does, there is still a vapor that emits from the device that contaminates the air. I think the airlines did the right thing joining the national bandwagon attempting to curb nicotine addiction. Heck even Obama has apparently kicked the habit.
