Rep. Joe Wilson heckles Obama



Could you imagine if an elected Democrat heckled Bush while Bush was speaking to Congress about the Iraq war? Republicans would be calling for his or her resignation immediately.

I love the look on Nancy's face.

But on a more serious note, I can't remember Democrats gleefully cheering throughout many of Bush's speeches, especially with matters concerning the Iraq War.

I'd like to add to Lachlan's comment as well. Bush was also booed during his 2008 State of the Union address. Even when the issue of health care came up, Bush stated that "the best way [to improve the health care system] is by expanding consumer choice, not government control." He was then booed by nearly all of the Democrats.

There were jeers during this speech, but at any point, ever, did a Democrat directly heckle Bush like Joe Wilson heckled Obama--by calling him a liar?
