Furthermore, didn't people say the exact same thing about Medicare? It'll be the end of America, the start of a socialized regime of Medicine which will undermine the very fabric of our country.
And we're doing okay with Medicare! In fact, Medicare spends its dollars more efficiently than the private market, when you compare overhead spending to health care spending.
