I think this is a must read for our dear friend Megan. In saying that MB and SP have given a voice to a new breed of females I think the author is only partially correct. I think females who are pro-life and are outspoken about politics (not attached to a man) have always existed. They just never have had a candidate to represent them. It just comes as a surprise to me that despite all of the media bias against SP, I do not think she has really gotten enough credit for really being the person who started a revolution. And not just a super conservative, crazy, Tea party revolution but a new-feminist revolution that will go a long way for women in this country. Even though I do not agree with their views, I have been happy to watch SP and MB blaze a new trail for this country. And like I said, as much as I become frustrated with MC during class discussions, without SP and MB, who would MC look up to? Let’s face it, there are pasty old man on both sides of the isle, it’s good to see that Hillary has a counter-part too.

Thanks Dyl, I've always thought that Sarah and Michelle never got enough credit for being mothers who were unhappy with the system and worked their way up from local politics. They both have incredible stories. Feminists should take your point of view that even though they don't agree with their politics these women should be celebrated for being strong women. Instead they are treated with outright hatred that is irrational and undeserved even if they say some very silly things. Ironically enough, they are sometimes preyed upon and belittled for their femininity instead of celebrated for it, which "feminists" should never stand for let alone take part in. I think feminists are threatened by these women and the Fox News supermodels because instead of trying to shed their feminine appearance to compete with men these women embrace their femininity. They understand that we can be equal to men AND different from them. I do wish these women seemed a little more policy savy, but I really admire them for taking a stand for their values. Susan B. Anthony was ardently pro-life!
