Is civility a winning campaign strategy?

Its all the same to me. Whether you call him out by name or not, it is still clear what his intentions are. So in that regard I don't give him any good guy points.

Although, it has been interesting wathcing this GOP field develop. Personally, the three front runners right now have almost undistinguishable personalities (except that TPAW is a bit nerdier). What I mean by this is that none of them have really showed the country who they really are. Romney has pretty much said he is going to take a back seat for a while and let the palin v bachmann showdown play out, which I predict bachmann in a landslide (see Paul Revere). And TPAW couldn't be happier deflecting the attention elsewhere.

What I would also like is for someone to tell me the differences between Romney and Huntsman? I mean they are both Utahns, both mormans, both former governers, both suave greyish/black hair cuts...to me, its 4 quarters or a dollar here. In what ways have any of them tried to excentuate their personalities? What happened to charisma and charm?

TPAW is a hockey player!

Are you giving POTUS good guy points?

Never. Good-guy points are hard to come by, especially by those who ask...like Huntsman. And we all know good guy points aren't worth anything anyway...so why even bother? Part of the game is to get dirty so as long as you dont go to the dark-side like Aniken Skywalker or Donald Trump then all is fair in my book

You're a cynical guy, njDylan.

Its not that I personally devalue good-guy points. I just think as far as elections are concerned, being a nice guy is not a high priority for voters. So yes, I am cynical in that I have lost hope that a "good person" can get elected because they are a "good person" and not a mover and shaker.
However, I am not saying there aren't any nice guy politicians, I am just saything that I have never heard of a campaign pitch along the lines of...Vote for me, I am the nice guy.
