7 Interesting Items most people do not know are included in the senate bill

"Being a teenager is tough. The Senate wants to help with a provision allocating $400 million from 2010 to 2015 to help teens make the transition to adulthood.

The money goes to states primarily to set up sex education programs. But the money can also be used for "adult preparation" programs that promote "positive self esteem, relationship dynamics, friendships, dating, romantic involvement, marriage and family interaction.""

I feel like most people are able to do this without $400 million dollars of help but what do I know?

The more I read about this bill, the more I think they should just scrap the whole thing and start over; this bill just does not seem like a good idea.

So we're willing to spend that much on helping teenagers transition to adulthood (funds going to buying off high school bullies and paying off companies to hire you???) but no money going to all the bridges mentioned in that Time article that have been deemed "about to fall into the water" by the dept of transportation? Im all for giving people healthcare, but what's the point if they're going to fall victim to our failing infrastructure anyway? The Time article made it seem like we're becoming a third world country!! Exageration maybe, but infrastructure IS important, and fixing it would create jobs, no?
