Bush practically made out with the King of Saudi Arabia. Where was the outrage?

This kind of thing is no big deal.

The picture is obviously misleading, he was most likely saying something in his his so no one else could hear. And regardless, making out does denote any indications of subservience.

It may not be a big deal, but its revealing

Revealing of...what?

I thought you'd ask that Even- "The bow as he performed did not just display weakness in Red State terms, but evoked weakness in Japanese terms"-- Obama acts out of a context of subservience on the national stage.

Considering Japan's new government is pushing for less involvement with America and more with China, it might be in our interests to not keep our collective neck so stiff.

I've drafted about 5 responses to this, but at great last i've decided on this:

Who cares?

Well Holly, because he is the PRESIDENT of the United States, and what he does, reflects on the entire country on an international scale. Far smaller gestures have started wars and created peace. Obviously the implications of this actions aren't even close to that level, but these things matter.

I think everyone knows the proper way to address the Japanese Prime Minister is to vomit in his lap. Silly Obama.
