The first guy, Galbraith, scares me.
The second guy, William Gale, raises what is perhaps the most important point that we need to keep in perspective: long term growth.
Galbraith falls into a line of thinking similar to that of Congress. He is only looking at what is in front of him. Galbraith's advice is to raise social security payments and make medicare more accessible. Allowing the economy to grow in the long term is well worth a little bit of pain in the short term.
