Question: is this a serious demand or just pandering to anti-American sentiment within Iran?

I don't think that Iran would want to destroy their relations with the new administration so quickly. This is an opportunity for them to reinstate relations, and possibly have sanctions removed. Also, President Ahmadinejad is up for re-election this year, and though he has the support of Khamenei, he still needs to win.; January 28, 2009 at 10:46 AM
