Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) has campaigned on the compelling story of how he is the son of Cuban exiles. Uncovered documents, however, prove otherwise, as they show that his parents came to America 2 years before the rise of Fidel Castro (1959). Rubio says that he had never seen the documents before and that most of what he knew about his ancestry came from what his family personally told him.
