Peanut Corp of America files for bankruptcy

After failing to properly ensure that its product was safe for human consumption, I think this company is paying a heavy price for its mistake. The management of the plant in Georgia obviously needed to go with its total incompetence in detecting salmonella that seems to have been widespread in its vicinities. With six people dying from this mistake, I can see how there is a lack of trust associated with the company and that has led it to file bankruptcy. Considering that I am a fan of peanut butter, I have had to take a close look at the products I have purchased, which is a detail that I really do not wish to continue to search for in the future. FDA, please enact better laws and standards to ensure that this sort of thing does not happen again!
