Obama begins cybersecurity review
With the transition towards a more technological dependent means of storing and communicating information, I believe it is important to take a serious look at ensuring protection not only of government files, but also work and personal files. The plan to update a national medical file database falls into this category because as Obama fears, if the wrong people are able to acquire such harmful information, the country may experience a grave misfortune. Stepping up efforts now is promising because it enables us to strategize and find weaknesses that can be addressed prior to implementing such a system and to correct the errors in our current file storing systems. I hope that President Obama is able to uncover a way to prevent cyber threats because to this point security should be a top priority for the country.
