Library of Congress: With Malice Toward None
Working at the Capitol has enabled me to gain an appreciation for our nation's great history. The Library of Congress really enthralled me with its new Abraham Lincoln exhibit that will display many items from Lincoln's presidency. For those of you are fans of the President, it appears as though you will not be disappointed. Beginning on Thursday, if you are able to take a tour of the Library of Congress, you will bear witness to some of the priceless artifacts of Lincoln. The highlight of the exhibition is the handwritten copy of the 2nd Inaugural Address from President Lincoln, which serves as an inspiration to me every time I have read it in my history books. Additionally, you can see the draft of the Emancipation Proclamation on display. I would highly recommend visiting the Library of Congress during the semester because it is a fun place to tour and relive history.
