Economists Agree Time Is of the Essence for Stimulus
A majority of economists from both parties believe that the stimulus package is flawed, however necessary to prevent furthering of the economic crisis. They believe the longer the delay in pass such a bill, the worse the situation will become. And although tax cuts and spending programs won't solve the country's basic problem of the banking system and excessive borrowing it will put cash in the hands of individuals and state budget planners, which may minimize effects.
