Instead of spending so much time practically campaigning in favor of the stimulus bill, why doesn't Obama utilize the time to sit down, ask Congress to carefully review the bill, consult with his staff and create the best possible bill our government can produce?
As the author of this editorial notes, the stimulus bill is not the best it can be. "But a bill that is merely better than nothing won’t be nearly good enough. The economy is too fragile. And the numbers are too huge." There isn't overwhelming support for the bill because this is not a bill that has been deliberated to the best of the government's abilities.

I agree....I think that there isn't really a clear goal for this Stimulus Bill and that this lack of focus might have negative ramifications later on.
