Afghanistan Will Be a Quagmire for al Qaeda

Senator Joe Lieberman wants us to be more aggressive in our tactics in Afghanistan to prevent al Qaeda from being able to commit further terrorist acts. At some point, we have to realize that simply being present in Afghanistan will not work. Although to some degree we have done our job in ousting the Taliban, I still see much work needing to be done before we can call such an effort a success. Rather than taking an approach that we have to do everything, I believe it is important to teach Afghanistan how to fend for itself in a positive manner that is acceptable to the country's citizens.
