Whitman takes 1st step toward run for Calif. gov

An intriguing prospect for the 2010 election emerges in California. At one point during the Presidential election, I believed that McCain was going to nominate her as his VP candidate due to her success in the age of our prospering economy. With Arnold out, Republicans definitely need to put someone out there that can appeal to the voters and Whitman may do just that. Having served as the CEO of Ebay, she knows how to bring out the best in what she begins and may be able to help curb the massive debt facing California.
