White House Says Stimulus Won’t Be a Quick Fix
Today as I flew back from Ohio, I sat on the plane next to someone who was working for a senator from Ohio. He and I discussed at great length this stimulus bill and the reasons for spending so much money. We both agreed that it was a large amount of money to spend and questioned whether it would actually stimulate the economy in the ways that Obama hopes. He was very much against the large amounts of spending on birth control and the lack of tax cuts. He was also concerned with how long this stimulus would take to work and whether we would still be able to spend money without running into serious inflation. I understand his concerns and worry myself about this stimulus bill. I really hope that Obama and his team can work well together and help those in need.
