U.S. bailout recipients spent $114 million on politics

A lack of governmental regulations on the recipients of the bailouts last year is an illustration of how important it will be to secure something in the new stimulus plan. How can we allow GM and Bank of America to spend over $30 million on lobbying and political contributions? Although, lobbying is not a bad thing when a company can afford to do it, these bailout companies should be using the money to rejuvinate their products and services by themselves because the government should not be responsible for their failures much longer.
