A Swiss Bank Is Set to Open Its Secret Files

After months of senate hearings and investigations, the swiss bank UBS has finally agreed to release the names of American clients who evaded taxes. While following this case for my internship I learned that UBS helped wealthy Americans avoid somewhere around $300 million every year by helping them to avoid filing out required IRS forms. The release of names will put a major dent in the armor of the swiss banking system, which is famous for its secrecy.
