Some In Congress All A 'Twitter' With New Media

Technology is becoming a major way for politicians to connect with their constituents at a cheaper and more widespread rate. As we discussed in our first Wednesday class, the power of social networking sites had a tremendous impact on the election and President Obama was able to really garner support during the primary race with his new approach. Although, one might argue that only loyalist supporters will go and visit such a site, even that effect can be beneficial when it comes time to vote. By utilizing technology, politicians can raise funding, support, an idea of how potential voters think about key issues, and frame their positions in a way that will appeal to the most amount of voters possible.
