One, Too Bi-Partisan?, Three, Faux Bi-Partisan?

Paul Krugman writes that Obama’s belief that he can operate above the fray of partisan politics is a little more than idealistic. The new President’s desire to reach out to both sides of the aisle was evident in provisions of the stimulus bill that cater to one side or another, but are not necessarily the best means to achieve economic stimulus.

So whether Obama genuinely intends to woo the Republicans, or whether he is just extending a showman’s hand, his effort towards unity between two radicalized entities is a downhill battle.
