Move over oil, Lithium is here

Everyone is used to hearing about geo-political maneuvuring to secure sources of oil. But, the spike in gas prices this summer finally has everyone looking for new souces of energy. One source that is going to play a huge role in the coming decades is Lithium, the material used to make next-generation batteries that will power our plug-in electric vehicles. Unfortunately for the developed world, half of the world's supply of Lithium lies in Bolivia, a country that is unlikely to allow acces to its resources without serious concessions and is a strong ally of Hugo Chavez.
