Did Obama make news at the Newseum?
Looks like we just missed seeing President Obama today at the museum. I really enjoyed visting the museum and seeing the history of our news being implemented around the world. In particular, the FBI exhibit was the most fascinating to me. I don't know how many of you have seen the movie Breach that came out two years ago, but being able to see artifacts related to the capture and discovery of Robert Hanssen's espionage was great. It was also cool to see evidence presented in the D.C. Sniper trial with the car hood since it was so prevalent in the news.

My favorite part of the newseum was definitely the 9/11 section. Bill Biggart's photographs of the two towers after the planes hit and before they fell were incredibly moving (he was the photographer who died from the collapse of the first tower). I don't think that any of us can forget what happened on September 11, but all of the newspaper headlines, the photos, and the movie played really put me back in time to remember that tragedy.
