Cooper: Obama staff encouraged defiance of Pelosi

It is interesting to see that President Obama is taking a stance against the current stimulus bill, but is not willing to go out in the public to clean it up. The stimulus package as it is currently constructed is filled with pork, but I would like the president to speak out against it if he wants it changed. I would respect him more if he came out against his party on this issue, but President Obama is playing it safe and trying to avoid burning bridges with his Democratic Congress in power.
