Calif legislature OKs budget after long standoff

The great conflict over the budget is now over for the state of California. Despite leadership changes and public feuding, I am glad to see that the state was able to come to an agreement. It seems as if there will be a mixture of tax increases, spending cuts, and borrowing. At this point, California needed to get something passed so that teachers can get paid for their services and opens up the opportunity to gain money through the stimulus package.
