Americans Still Can't Trust Congress

Although approval ratings do not necessarily translate into policymaking as reported by Charles Jones, I think Congress really needs to take a look at what it is doing with the stimulus package. We cannot afford for this bill to be passed with pork or unneeded spending projects at this juncture. Yet, the package being floated around the Senate is full of glaring holes that will not serve the economy or the citizens of this country. As we saw with the bailout of the banks and auto industries, Congress does not seem to have the ability to manufacture the right type of stimulation to the economy.
