Along with the economy and the war in Iraq, Obama also needs to deal with the pressing issue of environmental policy. Scientists are concerned that if the issue of the global warming is put on hold again, it will be too late to fix anything. While I don't agree that the world is going to come to an end in 4 years like McCarthy suggested, I do think that Obama owes it to the scientific community and to the people of the United States to spend more time and money than the Bush administration did focusing on the environment.
