Came across this article this morning on the metro, thought it was interesting. Also I find it interesting that President Obama's message so far for this election is that the wealthy should pay their "fair share" in taxes. The problem with this is that according to the White House House Council of Economic Advisors (his own White House), very few middle class families pay a higher tax rate than the wealthiest Americans. The most wealthy Americans, on average, pay far higher taxes on average than the middle class. This remains true even when one includes payroll taxes.
