I am glad to see that President Obama is working to ensure the protection of endangered species. Consulting scientists on project developments affecting wildlife and endangered species is something that cannot be harmful. Although I would imagine that federal agencies would be careful before undergoing projects, they may be more willing to forgo potential problems than if they were advised against it by federal scientists. By keeping the consultation service in order, we may be making more work, but the end result will be worth it if we can protect wildlife and build necessary projects.
