Dems to N.Y. party head: Hold off backing Gillibrand
Democrats must believe they can do better than Gillibrand in the 2010 election with their letter to the New York Democrat Chairman. I was not surprised to see that Gillibrand is not very popular among her fellow colleagues since she still maintains some of the same fiscally conservative policies that helped her win the House seat in the last election. Despite the lack of support for Gillibrand, I still see New York putting up another Democrat in office whether it be Gillibrand or someone else with a higher profile. Gillibrand has some major work to do on the fundraising side of her aim to be reelected and I just don't think she will be able to attain the needed $25 million without a lot of help from the Party.
