Disclosure Act Pt. 2
This is the second attempt to pass the Disclosure act. The
first disclosure act was presented in in 2010. Below I have posted two links
which will provide some information before our debate tomorrow night.
The Supreme Court ruling on Citizens United vs The Federal Election Commission changed presidential campaigns. The resulting super PACs "have become wings of the campaign" and in some cases raise more money than the campaign itself. In theory, super PACs must reveal who their donors are. But the requirements are easy to evade. As a result, corporations and wealthy individuals have unrestrained influence over the American electorate. How should we fix this???
