Surely the recent government bailouts mirror the socialistic signing over of patents in Atlas Shrugged, but can't capitalism also be identified as part of the problem? The reason a lot of banks and auto industry companies needed a bailout was becuase they were trying to maximize their profits so much, they ended up being reckless with risk. I guess her argument would be that they should suffer for their own mistakes and not be "looters" of other people's success, but it seems to me that cut-throat capitalism is part of the problem?
