Is Obama likley to lose in 2012?

So what do you guys think here? I mean with The Donald leading in some polls is it possible he could actually win? This can’t happen right? I saw the other day on the Dailey Show where Sarah Palin was talking about how ludicrous Trump is being about the whole birther thing and I actually thought for a second “wow, at least Palin is setting the record straight.” (On a side note, who thinks she is getting better looking? I think we can all agree that she has really refined her looks for this elections season, unlike the Donald, TPAW, and fat newt.) But seriously, does this author even take into account who Obama will have to face? I agree that as a candidate, Obama does have some weaknesses going into 2012 but compared to the GOP candidates now I can’t even believe there is actually going to be a real election. I keep waiting for some republican to emerge as even close to a legit candidate but I am growing more and more afraid that Obama is just going to run away with this one. And before TJE, megan, and other great Americans react to this, can we just agree that if Trump is leading in the polls and then ends up being the party’s nomination then the republican base is seriously missing out on a decent opportunity to at least challenge Obama? If you told me two months ago that the there are polls that have Palin and Trump actually leading I would have said you were crazy. If in two months it is still like this then I would say we are all crazy for letting this happen. Personally, I think Obama will rise to the challenge if he has a worthy advisory. Debates will be well sharp and you will start to see a lot of the reasons we voted him in the first place. However, the scary thing is, I think Obama matches up a lot worse with Palin and Trump. He won’t lose to them obviously, but I do not think you will see him distance him the way he is and should be capable of.

I'm hoping that someone comes out of the woodwork. but I really don't think we have to be worried about Palin or Trump. Trump has pretended he is going to run twice before and then dropped out when his book sales went up. He's in this for the money, and so that he can go on tv. I really just don't see Palin as a threat. She has a small group of very loyal supporters and is a great fundraiser, but I don't think the majority of the Republican party would ever take her seriously. I think what we have to worry about is if they form a team. Trump, Palin 2012 could be a powerhouse.

That last part was a joke by the way.
