So you note a single corporation that's heavily lobbied to defeat ObamaCare as evidence that the evil corporations don't want 'reform'? You're sounding more like Matt Yglesias every day.

I'm saying that the middle ground is true. "Corporations" are an enormous group, and anyone saying they're monolithic either way is oversimplifying.

But I do think there would be many more corporations opposed to the bill if actual liberals were pushing it.

I'm sure they'd be Going Galt in droves. Might be why Americans really do not want single payer.

Weirdly, about 12% of our population (37 million) is already on a single-payer system that's incredibly popular with them. An additional 15 million under-65 vets have access to similar single-payer systems which are very effective. Beyond that, 47 million Americans are on Medicaid. Add it up and you've got about a third of all Americans who go through life every day in the living hell of a single-payer system.

Oh no, not touching that one. We'll both be here all night.

Hah, I can respect that. Good call.
